Tabit Loyalty supports two ways to use points. Earn and Burn gives loyalty members a flexible points balance that can reduce the total of a future order. Point Store allows members to exchange their points for specific rewards through their customer profile. The restaurant's loyalty configuration determines which experience its members use.
Earn and Burn
Earn and Burn awards points according to an accumulation percentage configured by the restaurant, ranging from 5% to 100%. Within an Earn and Burn program, one point has a redemption value of one dollar.
Points are issued after the guest pays for an order. They cannot be redeemed on the same order on which they were earned and become available for the guest's next visit.
For example, a guest who pays a $100 check at a restaurant with a 10% accumulation rate earns 10 points. Those points are worth $10 toward a future order.
When points are redeemed, they are applied as a discount that reduces the order's net total. Points are not a gift card, payment method, or other form of tender.
Guests can view their points balance on the homepage of their Loyalty Customer Profile.
Guests can also select Rewards to view their points balance and the rewards available to redeem.
After a loyalty member is added to an order, the server can view the guest's points balance on the PAD.
Point Store
Point Store is currently a pilot program, and its functionality may change as the program develops
Point Store allows restaurants to assign a points price to a specific reward. Instead of using points as a flexible dollar balance at checkout, guests exchange their accumulated points for a listed reward through their customer profile.
Point Store offers can include free items, discounts, and other configured benefits. Learn more about the available options in Types of Loyalty Rewards.
For example, a restaurant could offer a free appetizer for 150 points. The guest exchanges 150 points for the reward in their customer profile, after which the unlocked reward can be used at the restaurant.
Guests must purchase Point Store rewards through their customer profile before using them in the restaurant. Servers cannot use a guest's points from the PAD to unlock a Point Store reward.
