Tabit Order general settings

Tabit Order is an online ordering site for delivery, takeaway, and eat in. In Tabit Office, you can configure the site’s details, order methods, and menus to match your restaurant’s operations, ensuring a great guest experience and efficient order management.

  Make sure that for each order type, the corresponding Workflow Profile is configured: A TD Profile for takeaway and/or delivery, and an OTC Profile for Eat In

  Don't forget to select Save in the top right before leaving the page to update the changes

Before getting started

  1. Create a Workflow Profile for takeaway and delivery
  2. Enable credit card payments for online orders

To access Tabit Order settings in Tabit Office, go to Tabit Order > Site Setup > General

Enter site details

When setting up Tabit Order for the first time, the Site Details window opens automatically. Most of the information is automatically filled from the Settings tab, but you can review and update it as needed. These details will appear in the online ordering site.

Order methods

Define which ordering methods will be available on Tabit Order:

  • Check the boxes of the services you would like to display
  • Use the ON/OFF toggle to enable or disable regular and future orders for each ordering method

Menu view

Menu view allows the menu to be displayed even when ordering is not available. Time slots let you control when menus appear, giving you the option to display different menus for different occasions.

  • View Time Slot: Select a pre-created time slot, or All Day, to define when the menu will appear
  • Enable PDF View: Turn on to display a PDF menu instead of the menu configured in Tabit Order

Takeaway setup

Takeaway setup 

  • Preparation time: Enter the preparation time in minutes, measured from when the order is placed until it is ready for pickup
  • Enable tip: If relevant, adjust the suggested percentage or amount by selecting the Edit icon on the right

Delivery setup

Delivery setup 

  • Delivery time: Enter the preparation time in minutes, measured from when the order is placed until it is delivered

  • Delivery price: Add a delivery fee price by selecting the relevant offer created in advance

  • Min. order price: Add the minimum price required for a delivery order
  • Free delivery from: Add the minimum order amount required for orders to qualify for free delivery
  • Enable tip: If relevant, adjust the suggested percentage or amount by selecting the Edit icon on the right
  • Address search on mobile: Select how you want customers to provide their address:
    • Address or Map – Customers can either enter the details manually or pin their location on the map
    • Map – Customers can only pin their location on the map

Eat In setup

Eat-in setup 

  • Preparation time: Enter the preparation time in minutes, measured from when the order is placed until it is ready for pickup
  • Enable tip: If relevant, adjust the suggested percentage or amount by selecting the Edit icon on the right
  • Require table number in eat-in: When enabled, the customer will be required to add a table number
  • Room number auto-fill for online room charge: In hotels, when working with room charge, the room number entered at the beginning will be automatically filled in again in the final verification window. This ensures the same number is re-validated before sending the SMS confirmation
