Understanding Modifier Placings:
Modifiers associated to an item are categorized by their placings, which can change how they appear on kitchen tickets. For example, a Bacon Cheeseburger might come with default modifiers like:
- With (w/) Lettuce, American Cheese, and Tomato
- On the side (o/s): Pickle
Since these are default modifiers, they will not print on the kitchen ticket or show on the KDS unless their placing is changed.
What happens when modifier placings are changed?
If you change the placing of a modifier (ex: from With to On the side) or remove the modifier entirely, it will update how the kitchen ticket appears. Any modifications to the default setup will trigger the kitchen ticket or KDS to reflect those changes.
