Turning menus on/off in PAD view

Manage menu availability to ensure the right menus are accessible. Whether adjusting visibility for operational reasons or temporary changes, you can enable or disable a menu directly from Tabit Office or the PAD.

  Once a PAD View is disabled, it will remain disabled until it is manually enabled

There are two ways to turn on/off a menu view:

Through Tabit Office

Through the PAD

Follow the steps below to turn on/off a menu view:

Through Tabit Office

  1. In Tabit Office, go to Menu Pad View and hover over the name of the relevant menu
  2. Select the Gear icon that appears to the right of the menu's name

 

  1. Under Visibility, select Enable or Disable and Tablet Update Permissions and then Save

      Tablet Update Permissions allows a Manager to turn menus on/off from the PAD

 

  1. Select Publish in the top right to update the changes on the PAD

Through the PAD

  1. From the Operation tab, select Operations, Manage Menus

     

  1. Tap on the relevant menu and update its status
  2. The icons on each Menu indicate its current status:
    • No icon: Menu is enabled
    • Clock: Menu is available by time slot (set in Tabit Office)
    • Crossed-out eye: Menu is disabled
    • Lock: status cannot be edited through the PAD (to enable the edit option, follow the steps above through Tabit Office)
    • Person: Menu availability is dependent on the Workflow Profile (set in Tabit Office)
    • Orange M: Menu is available to Managers only
