Building a Manual Schedule in Tabit Shift

While Auto staffing is commonly used to create the schedule, a manual schedule can be created if needed.

  If a Manager tries to schedule an Employee who has an approved vacation, they will get a warning

  It is best to create a manual schedule only after Employee Quota has been set

Follow the steps below for to build a manual schedule for each shift:

  1. In Tabit Shift, select the Schedule tab. A blank schedule will load with the Employee Quota that was previously set

  2. Use the arrows to navigate to the relevant week

  3. Select the + icon

  4. A default shift time will appear

  5. To update the hours for the shift, select the grey box and then edit the Clock in and Clock out times as needed

  6. Select Update to save your changes

  7. Select the blue box and then select an employee to assign to the shift

  8. Now an employee has been successfully assigned to this shift

  9. Complete this process for all relevant shifts

  10. Select Publish and then publish the relevant schedules

Adding an Extra Shift

There are two options for adding shifts:

  • If the shift exists on some days, but not others, hover over the blank area on the day without the shift and then select the + icon and follow the above steps

  • If the shift does not exist at all, select the menu icon next to the job function, add the relevant job function, and follow the above steps
