This feature is controlled by the System Parameter Regional Settings > Order Settings > Allow sub modifiers and should be enabled by your Tabit representative
What is a sub-modifier?
A sub-modifier is a secondary level of choice that appears under a regular modifier. It allows guests to further customize their selection and enables restaurants to build multi-level modifier flows.
Sub-modifiers help you build a more flexible and personalized ordering experience by adding another layer of customization to your menu. This is especially useful when modifiers need additional selections or preparation styles.
Sub-modifiers are not currently supported on Tabit Kiosk

Let's build an item with sub-modifiers:
-
Set up your item and any relevant modifiers or decisions as usual.
Item: Burger
- Decision: Meat temperature
- Decision: Bun type
- Modifier: Burger ingredients
- Decision on modifier: Bacon temperature
- Modifier: Side dish
- Sub-modifier: Toppings on the side dish
- Now let's connect them all
- Connect decisions to the relevant items and modifiers (to attach a decision to a modifier, the modifier must be an item modifier)
- Connect the modifiers to the relevant lead Items
-
This is how it will appear in Tabit Office
On the PAD
And on Tabit Order
