  1. Server Teams and Order Teams
  2. Let multiple servers take payments for the same order
  3. Refunds now follow the original payment method

1 Team up to serve better: Order Teams + Server Teams

Make teamwork seamless and tipping fair.
With Order Teams, managers can assign multiple servers to a single order and split sales and tips by ratio -ideal for large tables or complex service.

Server Teams takes it further: define teams ahead of time so orders are auto-assigned when the shift starts—no manual setup needed.

  • Accurate tip sharing
  • Smoother handoffs and clock-outs
  • Fewer mistakes and less manual work

2 Let multiple servers take payment for the same order

Speed up the guest's payment process for large groups and busy shifts.

With the new Payment Assist feature, multiple servers can now take payments on separate checks within the same order—at the same time. It’s perfect for high-volume environments or big tables with split bills.

  • Primary server enables Payment Assist mode
  • Other servers can jump in to close individual checks
  • Checks are locked to prevent conflicts and updates are shown live

3 Refunds now follow the original payment method

Keep things consistent and secure.
Refunds and other negative payments now default to using the same tender that was originally used - whether it was credit, cash, or another method.

This means fewer mistakes, tighter tracking, and more control over how funds are returned.

  • Only completed payments are eligible for refunds
  • Refund options are clearly marked based on what’s refundable
  • Tips and prepaid payments are excluded from this rule

Tabit Office

  1. Streamlined PAD View management from HQ
  2. New tax exception capabilities

1 Streamlined PAD View management from HQ

Say goodbye to manual site-by-site PAD View updates! Now you can manage all your PAD Views directly from HQ and push them to local sites in just a few clicks. This update keeps menus consistent across locations, saves time, and ensures your team always works from the latest HQ updates.

PAD View menus pushed from the HQ are read-only at the site level and always reflect the latest HQ updates

2 New tax exception capabilities

Staying compliant just got easier! You can now set up Tax Exceptions to automatically handle items that should be tax-free based on order type. No more workarounds or after-the-fact fixes—just smoother operations, fewer support needs, and more control over your tax setup.

On single sites this can be managed on the site level. For enterprise sites, when using tax groups on the HQ level, the tax group must also be applied

This is only available to users with Menu management permissions

Tabit Kitchen

Split long kitchen tickets for better visibility

We’ve introduced a smarter way to display long kitchen tickets, instead of stretching down the screen (and pushing other orders out of sight), they’ll now be neatly split into multiple side-by-side tickets. This means a clearer view, smoother flow, and cleaner display

Friendly heads-up when pickup time has passed

If a guest finishes checkout after their selected ETA has passed, they’ll now see a clear pop-up prompting them to choose a new time, preventing orders from failing without explanation and keeping service moving smoothly

This isn't relevant for ASAP orders

Tabit Guest

Give your guests a little more flexibility with flexible standby

To improve flexibility and visibility into guest preferences, a new Flexible Arrival Time field has been added to the Standby reservation form. This allows guests to indicate a preferred time range for their arrival, helping restaurants better accommodate standby guests. Guests can select an arrival time up to 3 hours before and after their reservation

All sites working with standby reservations from online booking have this automatically activated

How does it work?

  1. When making a standby reservation, the guest will be prompted with Are you flexible?

  2. If they toggle it on, they are then required to select a time frame in which they are available to arrive

  3. Flexible reservations will have an availability time frame shown below their actual reservation time in Tabit Guest

Managing third-party menus just got a whole lot easier. With the new Enhanced Catalog, you can bulk edit names, descriptions, and images for offers, item groups, modifier groups, and combo group items, all in one place. No more one-by-one updates, and any changes you publish automatically reflect in the Third Party catalog

Where to find it:

In Tabit Office, go to Third Party > Third Party View

Select the Enhanced Catalog button to edit the following:

  • Offer names, descriptions, images
  • Item Group names
  • Modifier Group names

Modified entries are marked, and updates are applied to all locations where the item appears
