Orders FAQ

Why are orders showing Tax Exempt in Tabit?

When a restaurant is in a Marketplace Facilitator state, DoorDash is responsible for paying the tax on the orders placed within their system. See DoorDash article explaining more about what is Marketplace Facilitator
DoorDash sends us an indication in the order details if the tax is remitted by DoorDash or the Restaurant

Since the restaurant is not responsible for paying the "Tax Authorities" tax for DoorDash Marketplace orders, Tabit will create the order as Tax Exempt.
