Delayed Items dashboard in KDS

The Delayed Items Dashboard in Tabit’s Kitchen Display System (KDS) helps expeditors monitor any items that are taking longer than expected. This tool provides a real-time overview of delayed items, allowing staff to address issues promptly and keep service running smoothly.

Accessing the Delayed Items Dashboard:

On the Expeditor Profile, tap the three dots in the upper-left corner (near the clock) to open the dashboard.

Understanding the Dashboard:

The Delayed Items Dashboard displays an overview of items that have exceeded the ticket alert threshold (the predefined time limit for item preparation). It’s organized by courses and includes three columns of times:

  • Average Delay: Shows the average delay time for all items in that course.
  • Max Delay: Displays the longest delay time among the delayed items.
  • Total Delay: Summarizes the total delay time (in minutes) for all items that are delayed.

This dashboard allows expeditors to quickly identify bottlenecks and make adjustments to improve order timing and kitchen efficiency.
