Quantity or Weighted Items can be created for products that are sold by weight, such as deli items.
Weighted Items cannot have placings or a Modifier Group attached

In Tabit Office, go to Menu > Items and create a new Item
Price should be set to the cost of one pound of the Item

Once the Item has been created, hover over the Item and select the Pencil icon next to it to edit

Under Quantity Type select Weight

Under Package Unit of Measure select lb
By default, lb. is the only unit of measure supported. To use other measurements such as oz, kg, or gram, please contact Tabit Support

Select Save and add the Item to PAD View

Now, the Item can be ordered by the pound with either whole numbers or up to two decimal points
