How to update items with no tax assigned

Certain businesses, such as markets and convenience stores, utilize the No Tax feature for grocery items. In case you see the warning about items with no tax assigned, and you do not sell tax-exempt items, you can assign a tax rule when adding items to your catalog.

Follow the steps below to assign a tax rule to an item:

  1. Go to Menu > Items
  2. At the top of the page will be a small frame that says ___ Items with no Tax assigned. Select Filter items without tax

  3. Enabling this filter will change the color of the box to green, and only tax-exempt items will be displayed in your catalog. Select the item you wish to edit
  4. Select the Edit icon next to the item to start editing

  5. Under Taxes, check Tax Rule, select the tax rule you want to apply to the item, and then select Save

  6. Repeat this process as necessary for any other items that need to be edited (the number of items with no tax assigned will automatically update)
  7. Now, select Publish to update the changes to all Tabit platforms
