How to Apply a Primary Job Function in Tabit Shift

Job Functions are used in Tabit Shift to determine what roles an employee has in a restaurant and enables them to be scheduled for these roles. A Primary Job Function denotes an employee's main role that shows up as the default.

Follow the steps below to apply a Primary Job Function to an employee:

  1. In Tabit Shift, select the Employees tab and then select the three lines next to the relevant employee

  2. Select Edit employee

  3. Scroll down to Job Functions. If the employee already has a Primary Job Function it will be in blue

  4. Select the Job Functions field

  5. The employee's Job Functions will appear. A blue dot denotes which Job Function is the Primary Job Function. Select the dot next to another Job Function to change it

  6. Once the relevant changes have been made, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Save
