Adding a Tip to a Room Charge

Tips can easily be added to a Room Charge, however the process is a little different from your regular PAD payment flow.

  The tip must be claimed before closing out the check

Follow the steps below to add a tip to a Room Charge:

  1. From the Check Screen on the PAD, print the receipt

  2. Give the receipt to the Guest for them to fill out, including any Tip they wish to leave

  3. On the Payment Screen, select Tip and apply the Tip the Guest filled on the receipt

  4. Select Room Charge as the payment type

  5. Enter the Guest's room number

  6. Close out the check

  7. Now the Tip has been added to a Room Charge
