The Priority List allows you to customize the order in which items appear on tickets for the kitchen's convenience. By default, Tabit sorts items on tickets according to their default course, and the order in which they are ordered on the PAD. Appetizers will always appear above items assigned a default course of mains. To override this, items must be placed in the Priority List.
Setting a Priority List overrides the printing hierarchy whenever the Item is ordered, regardless of whether it's used as a modifier, item, combo, etc
Priority List needs to be maintained manually as new menu items are added. New menu items will follow default coursing hierarchy until they are placed on the Priority List
Follow the steps below to set the Priority List:
-
In Tabit Office, go to Menu > Priority List
-
From here, drag items or categories from the catalog from the left side to the right to change their default priority
Not all items need to be on the list. If there are only a few items or a single category that needs to appear at the top of the kitchen ticket, you can select just those, and the rest will be automatically printed afterward
-
Items will be assigned numerical priority
- The items can be rearranged as needed in two ways:
-
Once the Priority List is complete, select Save and Publish to update the changes
