Why is a Credit Card Fee showing on cash payments?

In case you see a credit card fee applied to an order that was paid in cash, it is usually because a Cash Discount Promotion hasn't been enabled.

To solve the issue, please take the following steps:

Check the Fee settings - 

  1. Go to Back Office > Fees

  2. Check that the relevant Fee has the following settings enabled:

    • Credit Card Fee: checked
    • Auto apply: checked
    • Order Source (while auto-applied): Select all or specific order sources 
    • Active/Inactive: Active
    • Fee type: Percentage

  3. Save changes

Set up the Fee to be discounted when cash is applied -

    1. Go to Settings > Accounts > Payment Accounts > Cash
    2. In the Promotion Code dropdown list, select Cash Discount Promotion 
    3. Enter the percentage set for the Credit Card Fee

    4. Save changes
