Editing item display names

Item display names can be easily updated, including guest receipts, PAD menus, kitchen displays, and Tabit Order offers, by editing them in Tabit Office.

  Once all changes are made, don't forget to Save and Publish

Follow the steps below to change item display names:

  1. In Tabit Office, go to Menu > Item

     

  2. Search for the relevant item and select the Edit icon

     

  3. Here, there are three aspects of item names that can be changed: 

    display names.png

    • Item Name: The full item name, as it will appear on the guest's check and all reporting
    • Short Name: The name that will appear on the PAD menus. This field automatically shortens the item name to 12 characters
    • Item name for printing: The name that will appear on the kitchen ticket. Learn how to edit an item's kitchen name
