Windows PC Machine Best Practice

Following these guidelines will help protect your investment and ensure your Staff and Guests unlock the complete value of the device.

🔋 Keep it Connected

• The Windows machine should be connected to a power source 24/7

• There should be at least one power outlet dedicated for the device

• If for any reason the power supply cable must be replaced, ensure that it is replaced with the exact cable the machine was shipped with originally.

🧷 Play it Safe

• If upon selecting the KDS bookmark you are only seeing a “Fork & Knife”, please ensure the correct URL is applied <us-kds.tabit.cloud>. Reference the article <”Launching KDS” Link here> for more information.

🧼 Make Sure it is Clean and Dry

• Disconnect the power cable from the power outlet prior to cleaning.

• Machine should be cleaned with a lightly dampened cloth on a nightly basis

• It is important that your unit remains dry. If liquid does get inside the machine, contact Tabit Support before you power it on again.

• Do not wipe the screen with a medium that could scratch the surface.

• When cleaning the touchscreen, use window or glass cleaner applied to a clean cloth or sponge. Never apply the cleaner directly on the touchscreen. Do not use alcohol (methyl, ethyl or isopropyl), thinner, benzene, or other abrasive cleaners.
