iPad 12.9” Best Practice

Following these guidelines will help protect your investment and ensure your Staff and Guests unlock the complete value of the device.

🔋 Keep it Charged

  • Each iPad Pro should have sufficient charging space available: 20w+ Charging Brick with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable.
(*If device has a home button, it is a 2nd or 1st generation iPad Pro and it will charge with a USB-C to Lightning cable.)
  • There should be at least one power outlet dedicated for the device
  • iPad should be constantly plugged in (and charging) in an accessible location with proper connectivity.
  • iPad Pros should reside in their designated area and not be moved. (i.e. KDS stays mounted, TGM Pad stays at Host Stand, Spooler stays in Bar)

🧼 Make Sure it is Clean and Dry

  • iPad should be gently cleaned with a lightly dampened cloth on a nightly basis
  • Avoid leaving iPad in areas where moisture, heat, extreme temperatures and condensation are prevalent. Such as: Walk-in coolers / freezers, Expo/Pass Windows, Patio areas, Dishwashing Areas, Kitchen Equipment, Direct Sunlight

🧷 Play it Safe

  • While the cases are ruggedized and provide a level of protection in a restaurant environment, Users should refrain from tossing, slamming, using force, etc.
